Reproductive scientists create mice from 2 fathers

In this article, scientists feel they have come closer to the possibility of having two of same-sex couples have their own offspring. Dr. Richard R. Berhringer from Texas was the one to put this experiment in action. Experimenting with mice, he was able to form a female (XX) and a male (XY) with two fathers. A female mouse was turned into a male. The cells were not able to divide, so that male lost his Y chromosome and the it ended XO/XX. Later they combined previous chromosomes with another male chromosome that had given XY. This caused for the offsprings to be both male and female.

This article is an example of a hypothesis based science because it was based on the experiment that Dr. Richard R Berhringer was able to experiment on with the chromosomes of the two mice.

The importance of this research for humans is the fact that if they were able to figure this out with mice, later on, in some near future human same sex couples will be able to have their own offsprings.
